Wayanad Girijana Seva Trust
Chacko Cherian will be riding for the Wayanad Girijana Seva Trust.
Started riding a bicycle to commute to school when I was in the 9th standard.Got back to cycling in 2009 after a long hiatus. Been hooked since!
I have loved long distance cycling rides and I have a dream of riding my bicycle in every continent possible. I read about TFN’10 and was convinced that I needed to this in 2011.
I have been in touch with the Wayanad Girijana Seva Trust School (WGST) for about a year now. The school is located in the beautiful hills of Wayanad district in Kerala and caters to the tribal communities in the area. TFN and RAC-F’s efforts in supporting unaided institutions in the Western Ghat regions will go a long way in helping them. The main challenges that WGST faces is its day-to-day operational expenses in providing meals for students and salaries for its staff and teachers. The funds raised through TFN will be used to support these causes. For more information, please visit their website at:http://wgstrust.org.in for more information.
